Motherhood is the best of times, the worst of times. It is marked by much foolishness, by much wisdom. New mamas vacillate between doubt and faith in their choices and decisions. There is so much light, so much hope, and moments of darkness and despair, even when things are going the smoothest.

Join Alexandra and Lauren of Whole Mama Yoga for a retreat that is honest, nourishing, heart-opening, community-oriented, and spirit reviving at the beautiful Rock Quarry Farm on the outskirts of Chapel Hill.

In our time together, we’ll do mellow, restorative yoga and more moderately-paced yoga—all geared toward postpartum mamas. We’ll eat great food, meditate on the ambivalence that motherhood brings up, discuss tools for anxiety, and sit in community. We’ll write, journal, share, and get perspective on the most crucial job we do: mother.

Most importantly, we’ll focus on juicy, nurturing self-care—deep, restful yoga, sleep, gentle movement, self-kindness, and sweet surprises.

Retreat Details and Options

We want to accommodate as many possibilities for this retreat as we can, so there are a variety of options for joining us. On Friday, we'll connect, practice a grounding and restorative yoga practice, and then socialize over snacks and wine. For participants who spend the night, we'll offer a light and nourishing breakfast from 7:45 - 8:45 on Saturday morning. And then everyone will come together on Saturday from 9:00-3:00 for yoga, a tasty and nutritious lunch, connection and journaling time, and surprises!

  • Saturday only option, no accommodations, $170: If a one-day retreat meets your needs, join us on Saturday 9:00-3:00 for yoga, a tasty and nutritious lunch, connection and journaling time, and surprises! (20 available)

 

  • Friday and Saturday, no accommodations, $200: If you live close by, join us Friday evening from 6:00-9:00 and return on Saturday! On Friday, we'll connect, practice a grounding and restorative yoga practice, and then socialize over snacks and wine. Return on Saturday from 9:00-3:00 for yoga, a tasty and nutritious lunch, connection and journaling time, and surprises! (20 available)

 

  • Friday and Saturday, single room, twin bed, $250: If you'd like some solitude and a chance to sleep in, choose this option! You'll be with us both days and enjoy breakfast on the Farm, too. (1 available)

 

  • Friday and Saturday, shared room, queen bed, $260: Share a room, make new friends! Or, sign up with a friend and split this room. The room contains two queen beds. It could be shared by 2 or 4. If you would like to share a bed with a friend, one participant should purchase this type of ticket and one participant should purchase a "no accommodation" ticket for both days. If you'd like to share this room with a friend (and have your own bed) you should each sign up for this option. You'll be with us both days and enjoy breakfast on the Farm, too. (2 available)

 

  • Friday and Saturday, single room, queen bed, $275: If you'd like some solitude and a chance to sleep in, choose this option! Or, if you have a close friend you're happy to share with, share the bed! (If you choose to share, one participant should purchase this type of ticket and one participant should purchase a "no accommodation" ticket for both days.) You'll be with us both days and enjoy breakfast on the Farm, too. (1 available)

 

  • Friday and Saturday, private cabin, queen bed, $330: If you'd like some solitude and a chance to sleep in, choose this option! Or, if you have a close friend or friends you're happy to share with, share the bed, bring an air mattress, and have a party! (If you choose to share, one participant should purchase this type of ticket and any other participants should purchase a "no accommodation" ticket for both days. This could reasonably accommodate 3-4 people.) You'll be with us both days and enjoy breakfast on the Farm, too. (1 available)

 

  • Friday and Saturday, camping, $230: Join us for the full weekend from the comfort of your own cozy tent. Bring a tent and accoutremonts and find a comfy space on the property. You'll wake up to birdsong and nature! A full shower and bathroom are available for use. You'll be with us both days and enjoy breakfast on the Farm, too. (15 available)
