Meet Melissa Ming Foynes, Ph.D, One of our Whole Mama Yoga Collective Members

Dr. Melissa Ming Foynes is a holistic psychologist and coach, trauma-informed mindfulness, meditation & yoga teacher, and perinatal Ayurvedic specialist. 

One of her core missions is to empower parents, especially those who identify as highly sensitive, to skillfully navigate life stressors, societal pressures, workplace demands, & experiences of trauma, grief, anxiety, and burnout with principles from evidence-based psychology and a variety of ancient wisdom traditions.

As a mama who considers her child to be one of her most profound teachers, she has a deep reverence and awe for the vulnerability and richness that parenting brings to our lives, as well as the ways it can transform us, is constantly changing, and opens up to some of life's greatest joys and sorrows.

 
 

She believes that everyone has an innate capacity to cultivate resilience, feel fulfilled, and live in alignment with their true selves and core values in all life domains, including parenting. She helps equip parents with accessible tools and practices that can be personalized to meet their unique needs that can be implemented in daily life even in the busiest and most stressful of times.
